Lienz starts full of enjoyment into autumn

Also on Friday, September 27th, the city market invites you to the Thanksgiving festival from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, September 28th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fresh specialties from the region make every connoisseur’s heart beat faster. You can not only buy the delicacies for home, but also indulge in the culinary delights on offer at the market innkeeper and watch the basket weaver at his artistic craft. The Thanksgiving festival is accompanied musically on Friday by the “Rötspitzler” and on Saturday by the choirs, which parade through Lienz’s old town singing “Kranzlsingen”.

The joint start for the choirs takes place on 28th September at 9:30 am at Johannesplatz in Lienz. Subsequently, the Singgemeinschaft Jenbach, the Sängerrunde Heiligenblut, the Oktett 9 from Slovenia, the Stimmbandln from North Tyrol, the Dölsacher Church Choir, Die Liesner from Eisentratten, the Brüder Gliber from Schlaiten as well as the Osttiroler Teacher"s Choir will walk through the autumnally decorated city center.

But not only the city center, also Schloss Bruck shows itself again traditionally autumnal. There you are invited until 13th October to entertaining Sunday matinees, an exciting book presentation and guided tours as well as an exciting Kids-Day! The gastronomic offer in the castle café with white sausage and wheat beer, a crispy quarter of young wine and freshly roasted chestnuts rounds off the program culinarily fittingly.
