Lebzelten have an ancient tradition. Coming from monasteries, the tasty and fragrant structures made of spices and honey made their way into medieval bakeries. This also happened in those of Schloss Bruck. The most beautiful of the Lebzelt models there was brought back to life. "The Adoration of the Kings" is an elaborate, artfully carved model in hard pear wood from the year 1644.

The free spaces between the figures were filled, among other things, with the Lienz Rose, which also adorns the city coat of arms. In 2006, the Lienz bakers and confectioners joined forces to revive this unique motif and baking masterpiece. Exquisite spices such as cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, anise, ginger, fennel, and coriander determine the fine taste. The carefully handcrafted Original Lienz Lebzelt 1644® is filled with local cranberries. The old pattern embossed in finest marzipan surrounds thetop of the Lebzelt.

The Lienz Rose® has a long tradition in the history of the city of Lienz. For centuries, it has adorned the coat of arms of the citizens of Lienz and is usually depicted as a five-petaled red rose. In later years, the rose of the civic coat of arms was combined with the comital coat of arms and the Gorizia lion, and has since become an integral part of the Lienz city coat of arms. It became a symbol of justice and freedom, a sign of the connection between the bourgeoisie and the Gorizia ruling house.

In honor of the Lienz coat of arms flower, the five-petaled, salmon-orange to salmon-pink rose has been bred again since 2006. Planted in the city center and in private gardens, it is an expression of the connection and identification of the citizens with their city. Now you can finally purchase it in the specialty shops in Lienz for your own garden or as a gift for special friends.

Comfortable sunbeds allow visitors and citizens of the sunny city of Lienz to take a relaxing "time out" right in the city center. Lienz is really beautiful! And not just in the geographical sense. Throughout the city, you can find pretty sun-yellow sunbeds inscribed with quotes from the East Tyrolean artist Hans Salcher, inviting all citizens and visitors of the city to relax and linger.

The handmade Sun City sun lounger, which perfectly matches the "sun profile" of the city municipality, is a wooden frame covered with sun-yellow, durable plastic fabric, which is provided with another wooden frame as a base. The adjustable backrest and a small cushion with the Lienz logo additionally increase the feel-good factor. The sun lounger can be folded up in a space-saving way due to the scissor mechanism.

They are distributed in public places throughout the city area and can be found for example in Messinggasse, at the main square, at Johannesplatz, at the Tristacher See beach and at Schloss Bruck, and can be purchased at the Citizen Service on the ground floor of Liebburg. An investment that is definitely worth it, as with 2,080 hours of sunshine per year, the sun lounger in Lienz can be used particularly efficiently!

Long before the use of "plastic bags" was banned in Austria, the city marketing in Lienz was already one step ahead: in the Sun City Lienz, they have been using comfortable cotton tote bags for years.

Not only the environmental aspect was the focus, but at the same time, the Mediterranean way of life of the Sun City is also conveyed. On the 40 x 30 cm cotton bags, which can be purchased for 5 euros in a set of four at the Citizen Service Office of Liebburg, you will find cheerful thoughts from the local artist Hans Salcher for sunny minds.
