Waste Collection

Due to the dense collection network, 2,560 tons of recyclable materials, which are valuable secondary raw materials, can be collected annually. The employees of the Department of Environment and Civil Protection are deployed daily to clean, maintain, and repair the collection points under high usage pressure. Up to five times a week, material-specific collection vehicles from the ARA partner company, Rossbacher, visit the public collection points and empty the containers sorted into different fractions.The collected recyclable materials are sorted at Rossbacher"s sorting plant into pure secondary raw materials and the so-called thermal fraction, and are predominantly delivered by train to the material recyclers.
