Waste collection

Due to the dense collection network, 2,560 tons of recyclable materials, which are valuable secondary raw materials, can be collected annually. The employees of the Department of Environment and Civil Protection are daily deployed to clean, maintain, and repair the collection points under high usage pressure. Up to five times a week, material-specific collection vehicles of the ARA partner company, Rossbacher, empty the public collection points sorted into different fractions.The collected recyclable materials are sorted at the sorting plant of Rossbacher into pure secondary raw materials and the so-called thermal fraction, and predominantly delivered by train to the material recyclers.
