Audit Committee of the City of Lienz

Financial self-control is an important part of municipal autonomy. In the sun city of Lienz, this is ensured, among other things, by the supervisory activities of the audit committee. The audit committee is appointed from the middle of the municipal council. However, neither the mayor, the deputy mayor, other authorized persons for ordering payments and receipts, the office manager, nor the financial administrator and cashiers may belong to the audit committee.The audit committee must review the management of the municipality, including its economic enterprises, for legality, thriftiness, efficiency, and appropriateness. The audit committee must be provided with all necessary documents for the performance of its tasks and be given the corresponding information.
