Finances & Taxes

The Finance Department is responsible for the entire accounting and financial management of the city of Lienz and is divided into the departments of Finance, Accounting Service, and Parking.

The sector of municipal accounting includes the three main areas of financial management, accounting, and the fee sector.
Central areas of responsibility are:

Preparation of the annual budget and financial statements
Monitoring of budget implementation
Liquidity monitoring
Credit and insurance management
Asset management
Fee and tax collection including dunning
Billing of municipal taxes such as property tax, local tax, dog tax, and entertainment tax

The Finance Department supports the departments of the town hall with system services as well as committees and intermunicipal cooperations with regional municipal associations.
