The area of responsibility of the billing service includes accounting for the execution of all expenses and revenues, banking transactions, billing of all municipal taxes, fees, and private law fees, as well as dunning.

AttentionRecipient verification / Verification of Payee (VoP) for SEPA payments from October 9, 2025

With the new Instant Payments Regulation (Regulation EU 2024/886), transfers are subjected to a "Verification of Payee (VoP)" before authorization, which compares the consistency of the payee"s specified IBAN and name. To achieve consistency, the recipient name "Stadtgemeinde Lienz" must be stated in payments.
