The traditional Easter market takes place annually on Good Friday and Saturday in Messinggasse. In line with its philosophy of offering fresh and high-quality products with a strong regional focus, the city market presents itself especially during Easter. A tradition at the Easter market is the old custom of egg pecking, which takes place on Holy Saturday at 10:30 am.

"Advent in Lienz - Be a child again." Under this motto, the main square and the Liebburg, the city hall, transform into the unique Lienz Advent Market during the pre-Christmas period: artistically decorated stalls, fairy lights, fire pits, the scent of gingerbread, Kiachln, mulled wine, and hot tea, accompanied by atmospheric sounds - these are the ingredients that make the Lienz Advent something special.

The longest gourmet festival in Austria will also be held at Lienz Hauptplatz in summer 2026!
