Urban Production & Manufacturing

City centers are currently undergoing a change - but in a positive sense, because due to their high customer frequency and good economic environment, city centers are becoming increasingly important for manufacturers and small production companies. At the same time, craft businesses represent an opportunity for downtown development, as their individual, incomparable offers provide a unique selling point compared to other locations.

A specially conducted survey of structural data revealed that there is still a large number of "hidden manufacturers and small craft businesses" in Lienz and throughout the district. These are now to be brought onto the highly visible stage "downtown". This public exhibition space then serves as a platform from which manufacturers throughout the district can benefit.

Financed through the Leader project and in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce, interested companies can register in the first phase for a "Shop or Business Scan". This involves a personal expert discussion in their own company, where they can seek advice on successful product placement and their own services. For 15 companies, the costs for the conception as a manufacturing company with an initial design concept will be covered by the ongoing urban economic development project.

In phase two, a dedicated investment program for the strengthening and development of manufacturing and artisanal production facilities will be provided in collaboration with the city and the Chamber of Commerce.
