Local Pedestrian Concept Lienz - 10 minutes on foot

The following measures were identified in the preparation of the local pedestrian concept:

In December 2023, the first submitted projects were approved by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology.

Construction Measures

• Conversion of Klosterplatz and part of Muchargasse together with the Franciscan Monastery and the Citizens" Committee
• Conversion of gaps Muchargasse East and Muchargasse West
• Event platforms for the sidewalk as part of the Isel flood protection project
• Opening of the Isel for pedestrians in the context of Heat-City
• Sponge city trees at Egger-Lienz-Platz, which provide shade for pedestrians and improve the quality of stay

Communication Measures

• Shopping Trip - Construction campaign with participating businesses in Muchargasse/Egger-Lienz Platz
• Walking Time Card Lienz - Mobility Center starting point and as a central hub
