Museums and galleries in Lienz

Exhibitions change, offers are varied, colourful and interesting. We
can’t make the decision for you. We can only list what you can see,
 where, and when.

A Lienz town museum, Schloss Bruck
The castle’s imposing rooms are an ideal location for the world’s largest
collection of works by Albin Egger-Lienz, probably the most famous
East Tyrolean painter. Annually changing large exhibitions on history,
art, culture or nature attract visitors from all over the world every year.
The contemporary counterpoint is set by exhibitions and installations
in the belfry. There is a special exhibition dedicated to the 15 kinds
of bats, some of them quite rare, that inhabit the castle park, in the
 battlement towers.
Open from mid-May to the end of October
