Cycling – Secure on two wheels
The possibilities to explore Lienz and its surroundings by bicycle are as
varied as the landscape itself. One of Europe’s most popular cycling routes
runs along the Drava. Our tip: Take the train to Innichen / San Candido in
South Tyrol (Italy) and cycle from the train station there – slightly downhill –
back to Lienz along the Drava. An effortless endeavour where enjoyment is
the only goal. Tens of thousands of cycling enthusiasts from Italy go on this
special train and bike journey.
Dolomitengolf – Every stroke has its echo
The uniqueness of the place at the foot of the Dolomites – untouched na-
ture, marshes, biotopes, intact fauna and flora and the pleasant southern
climate – make this 36-hole championship course one of the most beau-
tiful golf courses in Austria. The terrain is flat, sophisticated and relaxing.
Beginners and experts alike find ideal circumstances for every stroke. The
course includes an ample driving range with open and covered tee boxes,
chipping green, putting green, sand bunkers … A place for sporty people
