Tirolean archive of photographic documentation and art (TAP)
The TAP is a permanent and sustainably acting institution for the history-charged region of "East Tyrol – South Tyrolean Pustertal". By collecting, digitising and presenting historic photographs, it manages to convey the linking element of Pustertal, yes, in a sense similarities within the entire Euroregion Tirol.
Not only as a repository of memories for safeguarding knowledge, but also as an active exhibition operator, the TAP is an identity factor on a local/regional level as well as an essential contribution for cross-border documentation of the entire state development. Currently it comprises more than 420,000 photos. From January 2011 until March 2015, the TAP was financed as an EU-Interreg-IV-Project Italy- Austria and then until the end of 2016 funded by the states of Tyrol and South Tyrol. From January 2017 until June 2019, the new EU-Interreg-IV-Project named "cultural treasure photograph" is in progress.
